Actions:

  • to promote contacts and exchange of experience, to provide training for specialists of NP;

  • to coordinate the efforts of it's members in solving common problems;

  • to elaborate joint principles for the development of NP, to analyze their situation in the Baltic region;

  • to exchange of information between the members, with other conservation organizations;

  • to organize of the Baltic Information Centre for Protected Areas (joint project with the Union of Protected Areas of Estonia).

Structure:

  • Council - representatives of all members

  • Secretariate - maintain contacts with the members, collect, process and distribute information

  • The Council convenes meetings once a year.

ABNP is a Member of IUCN
